About.

I was born in the little town of little black Wisconsin, At the age of nine I worked all summer on my uncle and grandpas farm for $27.00 worth of school clothes. We had a hired girl who helped my mom who played guitar. I would watch her play and when she went out with her boy friend I would try to play her guitar. My dad bought a half worn out guitar and I learned to play about four cords. My brother Bill started playing concertina at the age of 13. At the age of 16 we played a few local bars for collection and sometimes made $2.00. We played dance jobs for $1.00 and whatever we wanted to drink. At about 16 years old I played with a 4 piece band and made $10.00 a night.

At the age of 19 I got married to my child hood sweetheart. I started and ran "The Country Boys" band for 18 years. My boys Roger and Steve played in the band, Roger on bass and who played on two original songs I recorded at a Wausau Wisconsin recording studio. Steve later joined the band and played rhythm and some lead guitar. Both sang harmony and are exceptional musicians. I also went to Nashville in 1978 and recorded "Trucking Old One Three" and "Don't Come Knocking" at Lone Tree Studio. I don't run the band anymore but still write and record songs. I play lead guitar, Bass guitar, fiddle, Banjo Mouth Organ, Keyboard, Concertina, Piano accordion and foot peddle bass,
